This page details my first visit to a pumpkin patch on Saturday 10/30/04. Auntie Nancy suggested this place to Daddy after he asked about a more traditional looking patch for my first visit. We got into the spirit by dressing the country look. At the end I had a pumpkin and Mommy had a really tiny one for herself.
No time like the present. Leave it to Mommy and Daddy to wait until the very last day to pick my pumpkin. Actually it was really nice. We showed up at nearly 4pm so the afternoon was waning and the setting sun provided a nice lighting to our visit.
Lots of animals. They were in little pens so that the kids wouldn't get eaten up by the goats or terrorize the bunnies. I've never seen these animals before. I just kept staring, probably because they kept moving around and I didn't know what they were...
The pumpkin patch had scattered stacks of hay. Mommy liked the scene so much that we took lots of pictures. One thing about pumpkins, they're colorful and provide nice backdrops for pictures...
I wanted to pose with Daddy so Mommy took this picture. She was more focused on when I smiled than when Daddy smiled. That's why I'm smiling and Daddy isn't quite there yet...
Ahhhh, family photo opp. Uncle Chris was with us that day. He took the camera from Mommy so that we could capture a Convey family moment. It takes patience to be a children's photographer. You have to be patient and wait for someone like me to smile. Then you pray that the parents smile at the same time...
So here I am with my Uncle Christopher. Mommy wanted him to pose with me so here we are... We look nice together, don't we? :oD
Mommy really wanted to make sure that we got a cute picture of me sitting on a pumpkin. This particular pumpkin was perfect because it was flatter on top than the average pumpkin. She also liked that it was a reddish-orange color which was kind of different. She just loved this picture. Well this one and the last 7 pictures...
Okay we all really liked this picture. Here I am sitting in a little haystack with more pumpkins. But it looks like i'm holding myself up and sitting. Hehe it's a trick. Daddy's really keeping me from tipping over :oD
So that was our visit to the pumpkin patch the day before Halloween. It was kind of windy because it was an open field. BUT the late day sun made for some beautiful pictures, don't you think?
